In 2011, two friends (both named Kate) launched a product that sought to encourage creative and organized play: a dual playmat and toy storage bag. Some 10 years later, Pouch Australia and the Play Pouch product have amassed global success, now landing a partnership with multinational toy manufacturer, Mattel.
“Like Mattel, we want to inspire and entertain children through play and provide products that parents can trust,” say Kate Campbell and Kate O’Donoghue, co-founders of Pouch Australia. “Working with Mattel brands has taken Play Pouch to another level.”
With the new collaboration, popular Mattel brands including Hot Wheels, Barbie, Fisher Price, Little People, and Thomas & Friends will be featured on their own, branded Play Pouches. Cars and tracks, Barbie dolls and accessories, and engines can be stored neatly in their respective pouches — when it’s time for play, these toys can be spread across the mat, which is decorated with familiar scenes that will spark little one’s imaginations.

When she’s not giving an incredibly off-key performance of her favorite Disney soundtracks, you can find her going on walks, binge watching New Girl, or reading a book in a local coffee shop! Danielle is excited to immerse herself in the world of toys and unleash her inner child!
