MIDDLETOWN — Boys and girls had a chance to play royalty recently during a brand-new, two-week Princess and Prince summer camp run by Middletown Recreation and Community Services.
The unique half-day experience, offered for the first time this year under the direction of Lynn Agnew, was limited to 3- and 4-year-olds, and ran from 9 a.m. to noon, according to a press release.
During sessions, the children enjoyed story time, where a dance-related book about a first-time recital was read to them.
The children also played games such as hopscotch and “musical mat,” sang songs, and learned a series of dance routines they performed on Friday during a 30-minute recital for their family members, Agnew said.
They used props such as a big bus and sang along to “The Wheels on the Bus.” The finale was performed with kids donning crowns and tiaras that each camper took home.
